City Slicker
Friday - THE BIG BANANA! $2.40 well spent on a chocolate coated frozen banana! oohh LORDY! SCRUMMY!
Sharni and I left Brisbane about 7:30ish, and arrived in Coffs Harbour at about 1ish NSW time for a little stop over!
We cruised to the Big Banana, went on the Tour look Out, then went down to Muttenbird Island and went on a HUGE walk down to the other side of the Island - FOLLOWED by some freaky looking dude.. then made our way over to Guyra!
Along the way tho, we say in the distance, a little black thing on the road up ahead... we got closer.. IT WAS A TURTLE!!
We did a U-Turn and went back to see if it was still alive. IT WAS!
We picked it up.. just as a truck was about to squish him, and OH MY GOD! I HAVE NEVER SMELT ANYTHING THAT BAD EVER!
IT WAS ROTTON!
We got to Guyra, found Kyle and he showed us a lagon thing we could put him in!
threw him and and PS - Could smell turtle for the next 3 days!
Went back to Kyles, had showers, got changed and hit the town with him and one of his mates Brock.
A new club in Armidale was opening that night... Pulse... we went and jumped the line with some of thier mates... but it was going to take us FOREVER to get in, so we cruised to another pub for some drinks and a dance - I asked for a glass of House White... and the bar tender lady didnt know what I was talking about!
OH MY LORD! But for $2.80, I was able to score a glass of Chard in a BEER GLASS!! TO THE TOP!
STOAKED!
Cruised home, Saturday caught up with some old school mates that I have not seen in AGES! And of all places they live in Guyra! We went 4wding down the road WAS GREAT! Meanwhile there was a MASSIVE storm... trees all around being struck by lightening! sheesh!
Watched some TV then went to bed. Sunday PLAYED GOLF! Note to self.. NEVER PLAY AGAIN! hee hee
There was MASSIVE chunks of Grass flying in the air from Sharni and My efforts to try and get the little B@$TARD BALL into that little hole! ggrrr!!
Had some lunch and then cruised home.
Things we passed on our trip -
# The Big Banana, Apple, Prawn, Knight .. I think thats it!
We saw - Turtles, Kangaroos, Cows, Sheep, Horses, Ponys, Camels, Snakes, SPIDERS, Llama's, Emus!
CRIKEY!
